The Vittoriano Bitossi Foundation, promoted by the Bitossi family, is a non-profit private organization based in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the family originated in the second half of the 15th century.

Its mission is closely linked to ceramic art, as a testimony to the know-how that has produced and spread the Made in Italy all over the world. It conveys the vision and values that have always distinguished the identity and work of the Bitossi family: interest in history and research, with a focus on preserving, promoting, and disseminating ceramic culture.

In September 2021, the Bitossi Museum Archive was opened to the public, as a result of the musealization of the Bitossi industrial archive. Its aim is safeguarding the company’s historical documentation and creating a cultural repository where one can draw ceramic know-how from, to design new ways to view and express the shape and poetics of one’s time.

The Bitossi Foundation has joined Museimpresa, the Italian Association of corporate museums and archives, promoted by Assolombarda and Confindustria.

The Bitossi Industrial Archive has been recognized as being of significant historical interest by the Archival Superintendency for Tuscany.
