The CIRP project

CIRP: Circular Re-Paint: Recupero di metalli e solventi esausti da fabbricazioni e applicazioni di coating/vernici a base di metalli preziosi (PR FESR 2021/2027, Azione 1.1.4 – Bando n.1 “Progetti strategici di ricerca e sviluppo” CUP ST: 27716.29122023.042000145- CUP CIPE: D37H24002940009)

A More Sustainable Future for Colorobbia’s Industrial Processes

The CIRP (Circular Re-Paint) project is our innovative response to the challenges of the circular economy. The project’s primary objective is to develop a new process that gives new life to waste materials generated in the production and application of precious metal paints, such as gold, palladium, and platinum.

Thanks to pyrolysis, a cutting-edge technology that uses microwave heating in the process we’re developing, we aim to efficiently and sustainably recover solvents and precious metals.

Unlike traditional methods that require combustion and incineration, our process does not produce carbon dioxide (CO2) and transforms waste into reusable materials. This reduces both costs and environmental impact.

CIRP is more than just a research project; it’s a concrete step toward a “zero-waste” future, that support the economic, environmental, and energy sustainability of our region.
